  • Thursday 28 March 2024 End of Term Pupils and staff ended the term with a Mexican themed day mixed with Easter treats. Lunch had a Mexican twist with chilli con carne and Nachos. Oak class did an Easter Egg hunt for classes.
  • Tuesday 26 March 2024 Community Clean Up Pupils from Maple and Birch classes joined Ellie Marsh from Spilsby Town Council to help clean up our community. They collected 5 bags of rubbish working as a team. Well done!
  • Tuesday 26 March 2024 Rewards Assembly A massive thank you to the families for supporting the pupils at the parents afternoon and assembly. The pupils and staff really enjoyed sending time with our visitors and well done to the pupils on their amazing achievements.
  • Tuesday 26 March 2024 Stay Safe Partnership Tom visited classes from the Lincolnshire County Council Stay Safe Partnership to talk about different emotions and how they effect our bodies. The pupils engaged with the discussions and shared their experiences of each emotion.
  • Friday 22 March 2024 Volunteering - Eresby Hall We have 2 pupils from Oak class volunteering at Eresby Hall. They have helped organise activities for the residents including bowling, bingo, dominoes and craft.
  • Thursday 21 March 2024 Easter Fair and Bingo Thank you to the parents and families who joined us for the afternoon for the Easter Fair and Bingo. Well done to Oak class for organising the event and raising funds for their enterprise.
  • Tuesday 19 March 2024 Lincoln Visit Pine Class visited the castle grounds and had a picnic in the park as part of exploring our local area. The pupils enjoyed looking for and identifying objects of interest including a cannon.
  • Friday 15 March 2024 Red Nose Day Thank you for supporting the pupil with Red Nose Day. We had a wear what you want day and enjoyed a range of fund activities including Pokemon Club, decorating biscuits and a red nose and spoon race.
  • Thursday 7 March 2024 World Book Day Well done to the pupils and staff for all the amazing costumes and books to celebrate World Book Day. Some classes had themes of Harry Potter, Cat in the Hat and we also had 101 Dalmations for the day.
  • Wednesday 6 March 2024 Gunby Hall Visit Oak class visited Gunby Hall to discover the history of the hall and explore the gardens. They had lunch in the cafe. The visit was followed by a masterclass from Gunby Hall staff about how to clean the artefacts and how to identify insect that can cause a problem for the items.
  • Thursday 29 February 2024 Cafe Opening Oak class invited parents and families to their open cafe afternoon. Thank you for supporting the class.
  • Wednesday 28 February 2024 Sporting Experience Cedar and Pine classes took part in a Curling and Boccia match organised by Callum, the Trust's School's Game Organiser.
  • Tuesday 27 February 2024 Police Visit - Online Safety Horncastle, Spilsby and Woodhall Spa Police joined us for an informative and interactive talk about how to stay safe online. Pupils were given the opportunity to ask questions and to have a look at the Police car.
  • Monday 26 February 2024 Nationwide Visit As a follow up to the visit to school about money management, pupils from Oak class visited Nationwide Building Society in Skegness for an exclusive tour. They were given a full behind the scenes tour which will help develop financial literacy.
  • Thursday 8 February 2024 Parents Afternoon Parents and carers were invited into school to spend some time in class with the pupils followed by an awards assembly. There was a fantastic turnout and well done to the pupils for all their achievements.
  • Wednesday 7 February 2024 Micronclean Visit Micronclean Ltd, one of our work experience providers and local employers, visited Cedar Class to give an insight into the services they provide. Pupils took part in activities and a competition to see how fast they could put on PPE garments required.
  • Tuesday 6 February 2024 Internet Safety Day 2024 Pupils from across the school celebrated Internet Safety Day with a variety of activities. Willow Class enjoyed the technology in the Sensory Room. Poplar Class identified people who can help them and places where they feel safe. Maple Class used the Bee-Bots to make choices and give instructions. Cedar Class made posters identifying how to stay safe when gaming online.
  • Tuesday 23 January 2024 Futures Fair The school hosted a Futures Fair for further and alternative providers, as well as businesses who provide experiences for our students. The event was well attended by pupils, parents and carers.
  • Thursday 18 January 2024 Nationwide UK Nationwide UK delivered a workshop to Oak Class in school. The group completed a budgeting exercise and learnt how to keep their money safe.
  • Monday 15 January 2024 Boccia Competition The school sent teams to take part in a local Boccia event hosted by KEVI. Well done to the teams taking part with a 3rd and 5th place.
  • Wednesday 10 January 2024 Change for Life Wellbeing Event A group of primary pupils attended an event at Skegness Grammar School with pupils from other local schools to take part in sporting activities to support wellbeing and resilience. The pupils and staff really enjoyed the team building activities and came away with lots of ideas to use in school.
  • Wednesday 20 December 2023 Snow White Pantomime 2023 Pupils and staff travelled to the Embassy Centre in Skegness for the performance of Snow White. The performance was enjoyed by all.
  • Tuesday 19 December 2023 Christmas Dinner 2023 The school hosted the annual Christmas Dinner in school for all staff and pupils. Guests were invited to join classes for the festivities.
  • Monday 18 December 2023 Christmas Craft Day 2023 Pupils took part in craft based activities making Christmas cards, calendars, decorations and place mats for Christmas Dinner.
  • Friday 15 December 2023 Donation - Tesco Cafe Thank you to Tesco Cafe, Boston for generously donating gift bags to pupils in class 1 and a hamper full of treats for staff.
  • Friday 15 December 2023 Nativity 2023 St James Church in Spilsby hosted the performance of Bethlehem the Musical by all the pupils. Parents and families enjoyed the performance.
  • Wednesday 13 December 2023 Santa Fun Run Pupils and staff took part in the David Ross Education Trust Santa Fun Run to raise funds for the Enrichment program. Unfortunately it rained but this did not dampen the spirits of the pupils who were enthusiastic throughout.
  • Wednesday 13 December 2023 Christmas Fayre The school hosted its first Christmas Fayre. Pupils and families were invited to take part in activities and games. The Enterprise Group took the opportunity to showcase their crafts for purchase. Thank you to those who were able to support the event.
  • Friday 8 December 2023 Carol Concert The school choir went over to Eresby Hall for a Carol Concert with residents. The concert was well received and the pupils enjoyed the experience.
  • Thursday 7 December 2023 Christmas Card Competition The pupils entered Christmas Card designs into the Spilsby Cracker Day competition and we had 4 winners, well done!
