  • Thursday 26 September 2024 MacMillan Coffee Afternoon Oak class welcomed parents and staff to the annual MacMillan coffee afternoon at their cafe. Thank you for the donations of cakes and all funds raised go to the charity.

  • Monday 23 September 2024 Birch Class - County Care Visit Members of Birch Class went to the County Care Day Centre to explore opportunities for their next steps. Students had a tour of the facility and accessed the cafe.
  • Friday 20 September 2024 Jeans for Genes Week The whole school acknowledged Jeans for Genes Week wearing jeans and non-uniform all week. Donations received for the charity exceeded £170. The relaxed dress was welcomed by pupils and staff and sessions delivered by staff helped pupils understand more about genetic conditions. Thank you to families for supporting the charity.
  • Wednesday 18 September 2024 Swimming Sessions have resumed for the older students at Horncastle Pool and will be on a rota system ensuring all get the experience in a pool in the local community.
  • Saturday 14 September 2024 Teenage Market - September 2024 Oak Class had a market stall at the Teenage Market in Spilsby selling their home made crafts to the public. They raised over £170 for the Enterprise Fund.
  • Wednesday 4 September 2024 Welcome Back Welcome to the new school year. We have 8 new students join us this year. We have a new teacher joining the team, Melissa and 2 new teaching assistants, Lynsey and Jessica. We wish them all well on their journey with Eresby School.
  • Thursday 18 July 2024 Play Towers Visit Holly class had an amazing time at Play Towers in Boston. They enjoyed the ball pool and the slides before having a treat of chicken and chips.
  • Wednesday 17 July 2024 Sports Day and Celebration Assembly Finally we had sports day after it was rained off earlier this month. Weather was kind and parents and families were able to take part in a carousel of activities on the field followed by a family picnic. Parents organised a summer fair with a tombola and raffle, and an ice cream man. We celebrated all the achievements of the pupils in the assembly and said goodbye to some pupils as they move on to the next stage of their journey.
  • Tuesday 16 July 2024 Beach Party Willow class had a beach party for the day. They had sand and water and finished the day with ice cream.
  • Monday 15 July 2024 Farmer Browns Pupils from Poplar Class went to visit Farm Browns to learn about cows and crops. They experienced milking and met the cows and calves. They saw kittens and went in the tractor. The best bit was the ice cream and play area. A good time was had by all.
  • Monday 15 July 2024 Ultimate Frisbee Pupils from Holly and Cherry class joined other schools at King Edward VI Academy for the ultimate frisbee skills session. They leant all the skills required in workshops then played a game to apply the skills. We are looking to introduce this in school as the game was enjoyed so much.
  • Thursday 11 July 2024 Duke of Edinburgh Award Well done to the group on completing their Bronze Award. On Thursday the planned routed around Gunby Hall and then cooked and camped in school followed on the Friday with the expedition carrying on at the Eco Centre in Skegness. Well done to the 3 pupils who camped overnight at school.
  • Wednesday 10 July 2024 Football Match The football team had their first fixture against Boston Grammar School. Thank you to them for hosting the match and gifting the football kit and water bottles. Amazing result, winning 2-1. Well done to the team.
  • Tuesday 9 July 2024 Summer Cup What an experience for the pupils, competing in races, swimming and boccia competitions. We travelled to Grantham Mere's Leisure Centre to meet with other Trust School. Bonus was meeting Colin Jackson.
  • Sunday 7 July 2024 Spilsby Primary PTFA Summer Fete The Oak Class Enterprise group were out and about again with their market stall, selling their amazing creations. They really enjoyed the day and being welcomed as part of the local community.
  • Friday 5 July 2024 Neville Holt Farm Pupils from Pine and Cedar class travelled to Market Harborough to visit Neville Holt Farm. They had large and small animal experiences, along with a mini beast hunt. As a bonus they got to collect eggs and cook eggy bread. The rabbit and guinea pigs were a big favourite. We are hoping to visit again next year.
  • Thursday 4 July 2024 Lincolnshire SEND Awards Well done Oak Class, they collected their careers SEND award at the Bentley Hotel in Lincoln, winning the Enterprise category. Katy Dennis collected the Extra Mile Award and Leo Webster the Go For It Award. Well done to all!!
  • Tuesday 2 July 2024 Birch Class Outing Birch class ventured to the coast for a visit. Enjoying a walk along the promenade at Huttoft and a visit to the cafe. They didn't let the weather spoil the day and took photos for a creative piece of artwork.
  • Tuesday 2 July 2024 Tractor Visit Chandlers (Farm Equipment) Ltd kindly brought a tractor to school for the pupils to experience. A favourite was sitting in the enormous wheel for photos.
  • Friday 28 June 2024 Countryside Arts Oak class have worked with Countryside Arts to create and print bag designs for sale at the markets over the next couple of weeks. The Enterprise Group are thriving and grateful for all the support they are receiving from local businesses.
  • Friday 28 June 2024 Capture the Castle A group of pupils joined other school for Capture the Castle at King Edward VI Academy. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and resilience. A great time was had by all.
  • Thursday 20 June 2024 Lincolnshire Show Pupils from Cedar and Cherry class took part in the Lincolnshire Show Schools Challenge. They designed a sensory garden in the school and achieved 3rd prize in the special school category. Well done!
  • Monday 17 June 2024 Musical Performance Sinfonia Viva have been working with Pine class for the last 6 weeks towards the musical performance attended by parents and families. The performed a sea shanty followed by a fanfare on P Buzzes. The performance was enjoyed by all.
  • Monday 17 June 2024 Tents Donation We have kindly been donated some large tents to help with the Duke of Edinburgh Award at the end of the term. We are pleased to say these can also be borrowed by families for holidays or fun in the garden.
  • Friday 7 June 2024 Eco Centre Oak class have started weekly visits to the Eco Centre in Skegness. They have been working as a team to help with woodland management.
  • Tuesday 4 June 2024 Linkage Choices Birch Class enjoyed their visit to Linkage Choices joining in with performing arts sessions, singing and dancing.
  • Tuesday 4 June 2024 Primary Life Skills Project Life Skills has developed so much in our school this year that we have extended it to the Primary groups with the addition of home corners in each of the primary classes. Thanks to the generous donations from families and friends of the school we have been able to set them up with donations of items to make the home corners realistic but safe.
  • Friday 24 May 2024 Oak Class treat Oak class have worked so hard this term with exams and the enterprise they were treated to a trip out bowling and to the American Diner. Well done for all the hard work!
  • Friday 24 May 2024 CPR Training Jasmin has been leading training for classes in basic CPR following the British Heart Foundation RevivR method. Pupils are now aware of what to do if they find someone unconscious, how to do CPR and where to find a defibrillator should it be needed.
