  • Thursday 7 December 2023 Christmas Card Competition The pupils entered Christmas Card designs into the Spilsby Cracker Day competition and we had 4 winners, well done!
  • Wednesday 6 December 2023 Work Experience Update Pupils are continuing to enjoy internal and external work experience. Two pupils spent four days at Treehouse Children's Centre. The pre-school children thoroughly enjoyed the pupils leading singing sessions, reading stories and playing games. Our learners had the magic touch and even managed to get the babies to sleep!
  • Wednesday 6 December 2023 National Trust
  • Wednesday 6 December 2023 Cracker Day Pupils from the Enterprise group set up a stall with products that they had made and had donated to sell. As part of the process they covered money management and communication skills with selling to the public. The group were welcomed into the community to showcase the talent the pupils of the school have.
  • Tuesday 5 December 2023 Internet Safety and Preparation for Adulthood The school hosted parents for presentations and discussions around Internet Safety and Preparation for Adulthood. We thank the parents who were able to attend.
  • Tuesday 5 December 2023 Lincs FM Fill the Bus Tour Students representing the school at the Lincs FM Fill the Bus Tour. They handed over donations of children's toys from Eresby Special School parents to help the Mission for Kids – every child in Lincolnshire should get a Christmas! They were met by Lincs FM DJ Joseph Begley who invited them onto the bus to put the presents with the other donations. We even had a brief interview for the radio too!
  • Thursday 30 November 2023 Rowing Championship Seven pupils were selected to represent Eresby School at the David Ross Education Trust Rowing Championships. The group travelled to the Mere’s Leisure Centre in Grantham and competed against other school in the Trust group. They had a fantastic day and all did amazingly in their individual races.
  • Friday 3 November 2023 Snow White Pantomime On Wednesday, the whole school enjoyed Snow White Pantomime. It was a very interactive performance which had the pupils joining in with signing, singing, and dancing. We are looking forward to welcoming them back in May for a performance of the Hobbit and then again in November for a production of Beauty of the Beast.
  • Friday 20 October 2023 Harvest Festival 2023 Sadly we had to cancel the Harvest Festival on the last day of term due to the weather however we received donations of provisions from pupils and families which the school donated to the Christian Fellowship Food bank in Spilsby for use in our community.
  • Wednesday 18 October 2023 Tong Engineering Class 9 enjoyed an exclusive tour round Tong Engineering, where they learnt about the many different machines and job roles.
  • Wednesday 18 October 2023 Work Experience Learners have already started to take part in work experience. Two learners spent 4 days the week working in Sainsbury’s. They demonstrated fantastic communication skills when helping customers, and teamwork when stocking up the shelves and fridges.
  • Tuesday 17 October 2023 Grandma's Pudding Classes 7 and 8 got creative, making their own pizza in a cooking workshop led by Grandma’s Pudding Co.
  • Tuesday 10 October 2023 Local Park Visit Class 2 ventured to the local park which provided the perfect opportunity to observe seasonal changes, and of course make the adults go down the slide!
  • Thursday 5 October 2023 Rhubarb Theatre Visit
  • Wednesday 27 September 2023 Sainsbury's Visit Class 5 and 6 demonstrated excellent listening skills in a healthy eating workshop led by Sainsbury’s. They tasted some of the more unusual fruits and vegetables, as well as learning their names and country of origin.

  • Friday 16 December 2022 Christmas Performance 2022 Pupils and staff performed Christmas themed songs and sketches for out final day of Christmas week. What an amazing finish for the holidays.
  • Thursday 15 December 2022 Beauty and the Beast The pupils and staff went to the pantomime, Beauty and the Beast at the Embassy Centre in Skegness for a Christmas treat. Everyone had a really good time.
  • Wednesday 14 December 2022 Christmas Dinner 2022 Pupils and staff enjoyed the annual Christmas Dinner in school with all the festive trimmings.
  • Tuesday 13 December 2022 Lights Camel Action 2 The Nativity St James Church in Spilsby hosted the school's Nativity, Lights Camel Action 2. Thank you to the families and friends of the school who joined us for the afternoon.
  • Monday 12 December 2022 Christmas Crafts The pupils enjoyed a day filled with craft activities including making Christmas cards, crackers, biscuits and calendars.
  • Friday 25 November 2022 Church Farm Museum Visit As part of our history topic this term, Class 5 enjoyed a trip to The Village Church Farm Museum, Skegness. Pupils and staff were guided around an old farmhouse, a mud and stud cottage and an old traction steam engine. They learnt about how life has changed since the early 1900s and were also shown professions such as woodturning.
  • Wednesday 23 November 2022 Online Safety with Dan Parents and carers are invited to a special Q&A session hosted by Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Partnership's expert Dan Hawbrook. The session will give parents and carers information and tools to help them feel confident enough to protect their children and young people from online harm. Dan will chat through different apps, online trends, parental controls and any other burning questions. Follow the link below for a ticket to the online event.
  • Friday 21 October 2022 Harvest Festival 2022 Pupils and staff were joined by Father Terry for the harvest festival in school. They sang traditional harvest songs and Father Terry brought his puppets.
  • Monday 10 October 2022 World Mental Health Day The pupils and staff acknowledged World Mental Health Day by wearing something yellow. Pupils took part in sessions and activities to raise awareness and promote positive mental health.
  • Tuesday 27 September 2022 Hedgehog Visit
  • Wednesday 20 July 2022 Sports Day Pupils took part in the annual sports day. We were really lucky with the weather. Thank you for parents and families who were able to come along a support the pupils.
