Culture Week

Japan was the focus for culture week this year. During the morning sessions all pupils enjoyed learning about and exploring the different cultures and the history of Japan.  This included learning how to write in Japanese, listening to Japanese music and exploring the religious festival Wesak.  During the afternoon sessions pupils enjoyed making brightly coloured kites and windsocks which were used to help celebrate during the Japanese festival afternoon.  Pupils also participated in a real-life gaming afternoon which included human Pac Man and Mario Cart.  We finished the week with a class competition which involved making a rickshaw for an adult to race.
